Privacy Policy
Short version: the measurements you enter stay on your device. We use Google AdSense and analytics cookies, explained in full below.
Summary
This privacy policy explains what information Body Type Calculator (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit this website, how it is used, who it is shared with and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Calculator inputs: none. Measurements such as bust, waist, hips and shoulders are processed by code running on your device. They are not sent to our server, stored or linked to you, and they disappear when you close or refresh the page.
- Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address, name (if you include it) and the content of your message. We use it only to reply and to handle your request.
- Log data: like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the date and time of the visit. This is used for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookies and similar technologies: set by us and by third parties such as Google for advertising and analytics, described below.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the website and fix problems.
- To understand which pages and tools are useful, using aggregated statistics.
- To show advertising that keeps the site free.
- To reply to messages and handle privacy requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your measurements for any purpose.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They let a website or its partners remember information about your visit. We use the following types:
- Strictly necessary: used to remember choices such as your cookie consent. The calculators themselves do not need cookies.
- Analytics: used to count visits and see how people use the site, in aggregate.
- Advertising: used by Google and its partners to show and measure ads, as described in the next section.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking advertising cookies doesn’t stop ads appearing, but the ads will be less relevant to you.
Google AdSense and advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads on this website. In line with Google’s requirements:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site. Their cookies are governed by their own privacy policies.
To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. If you do not opt out, you may see personalised ads; if you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how long visits last. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser, approximate location (based on IP address) and pages visited. We use this information only in aggregate. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Consent for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, including those used for personalised advertising, through a consent banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link on the site. Where we rely on consent, our legal basis is your consent; for security and basic site operation, it is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers who help us run the site, such as our hosting provider, Google (for advertising and analytics) and our email provider, and only as needed for those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the site. If the site is ever sold or transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction under this policy.
Data retention and security
Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your message and any follow-up, then deleted. Analytics and advertising data is kept by Google according to its own retention settings. We use reasonable technical measures, including HTTPS encryption, to protect the site, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
International transfers
Our service providers, including Google, may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent;
- receive a copy of it in a portable format;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
California and other US state residents: under the CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of personalised advertising, use the links in the Google AdSense section above or your browser’s Global Privacy Control setting. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
